MELBOURNE - Aug 29/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure system west of Tasmania is moving southeastwards. A weak trough will move across the State on Saturday and a cold front will move across waters to the south on Sunday. Forecast for the rest of FridayPossible isolated morning showers over the southern coastal districts, contracting to the Lower South East in the afternoon, more likely about far southern coasts. Isolated showers extending from the west across the West Coast district and northern agricultural area, Northwest Pastoral and south of the Northeast Pastoral. Possible isolated thunderstorms developing over the Northwest Pastoral and far southern coasts. Mild in the south, grading to hot in the far north. Light to moderate northeast to northwest winds, freshening in the west and becoming strong in the far northwest, with areas of raised dust during the afternoon.Saturday 31 AugustFine, apart from possible light showers about the Flinders and Northeast Pastoral districts. Warm in the south, grading to very hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh north to northwest winds, with areas of raised dust in the northeast.Sunday 1 SeptemberFine. Warm in the south grading to hot in the north. Light to moderate west to northwesterly winds, fresh in the south.Monday 2 SeptemberPossible isolated showers in the far west of the state. Warm in the south, grading to hot to very hot in the north. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, becoming moderate to fresh northeast to northerly in the west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday morning to midnight Monday are expected to be mostly less than 2 mm, with local falls of 2 to 5 mm.Tuesday until ThursdayPossible isolated showers about the far west and south on Tuesday, gradually extending north to be south of Cleve to Lameroo on Wednesday and Thursday. Warm to hot in the south, grading to very hot in the far north.
