Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 28/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea will continue to maintain a ridge over eastern New South Wales while a weak trough brushes past the south of the state this evening. A second, stronger trough is likely to cross western NSW on Thursday, weakening as it moves across the eastern parts during Friday. A high pressure system will dominate across the state over the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayPossible isolated showers or thunderstorms in the southeast, more likely about the southern ranges. Fine elsewhere. Northwest to northeasterly winds, tending east to southeast along the coast.Thursday 29 AugustThe chance of showers about the south and southeastern parts of the state, more likely about the southern ranges. Isolated thunderstorms possible in the southeast. Morning fog patches in the far northeast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Very warm day in the far northwest. Northerly winds freshening, becoming strong and gusty in the west before a westerly change.Friday 30 AugustIsolated showers in the east, clearing during the day. Weakening west to southwesterly change extending throughout.Saturday 31 AugustPossible isolated showers over the south. Partly cloudy in the north. Very warm to hot day in the northwest. Northwest winds in the west, southeast to northeast winds along the coast.Sunday 1 SeptemberFine and sunny throughout.
