MELBOURNE - Aug 25/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high over central NSW is moving eastwards and will be positioned over the northern Tasman sea early in the week. A trough of low pressure over the far west of the State early Tuesday will move slowly eastwards to reach Victoria late Thursday. Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers in the Lower South East, clearing by evening. Isolated fog patches developing late evening over Kangaroo Island and the South East district. Cool with chiefly light winds.Monday 26 AugustMorning frost and fog patches over Kangaroo Island and eastern districts. A fine day with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds, freshening in the west. Mild in the south grading to warm in the north and west.Tuesday 27 AugustPartly cloudy with possible isolated light showers developing over the southern agricultural area. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the far north. Moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds, shifting moderate westerly over western districts.Wednesday 28 AugustIsolated showers over the agricultural area, West Coast district and south of the Pastoral districts, mostly likely in the west. Mild in the south grading to hot in the far north with moderate winds, chiefly northeast to northwesterly, shifting westerly in the west later.Thursday 29 AugustIsolated showers south of about Leigh Creek, most likely over the southern agricultural area. Mainly moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, gradually shifting west to southwesterly from the west. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm in the far north. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday afternoon to midnight Thursday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm over the southern agricultural area and West Coast district. Less than 2 mm is possible further north over areas south of Leigh Creek.Friday until SundayIsolated showers on Friday over the agricultural area, contracting south and clearing later.
