MELBOURNE - Aug 24/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high over South Australia will move eastwards to be over the Tasman Sea by Monday night. A trough of low pressure will move into the far west late Monday, then across the State on Tuesday and Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated light showers about the southern coasts and the South East district this evening. Cool to mild. Light and variable winds.Sunday 25 AugustIsolated early frost about the Flinders, Mid North and far south of the Pastoral districts. Fine apart from isolated showers about southern coasts and the South East district contracting to the Lower South East district during the morning and clearing during the afternoon and evening. Cool to mild in the south grading to mild to warm in the north and west. Light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds.Monday 26 AugustPatchy morning fog about the southeast corner of the State. Possible early morning frost about the Flinders and Mid North district. A fine day with some high cloud developing in the west during the afternoon and evening. Mild to warm with light to moderate northerly winds, fresh at times in the west.Tuesday 27 AugustPartly cloudy with possible isolated showers developing about parts of the Eyre Peninsula and southern agricultural area during the day. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the north with light to moderate northerly winds, fresh at times in the west.Wednesday 28 AugustPossible isolated showers mainly over the southern agricultural area and West Coast district, more likely about the Lower South East. Generally mild to warm throughout with moderate northeast to northwesterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday afternoon to midnight Wednesday are expected to be up to 2 mm, reaching 2 to 5 mm over the Mount Lofty Ranges and Lower South East coast.Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers gradually contracting to the southeast and clearing by about midday Friday. Fine on Saturday. Remaining mild to warm with mainly northerly winds.
