Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 24/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
Wind and showers in the southeast of the state ease this morning in the wake of a complex low pressure system passing over the southern Tasman Sea. Following this, a ridge of high pressure will extend across the region during the weekend, promoting fine weather across most districts. Early in the new week this high is forecast to move to the Tasman Sea, with winds shifting warmer northerly ahead of the next frontal system, expected around the middle of the week.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayThe chance of showers about the western slopes of the southern ranges, mainly morning, falling as snow about 1800 metres. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Early frost patches about the northern slopes and plains. Morning fog patches about the eastern inland. Southeast to southwesterly winds, fresh and gusty near the coast at first.Sunday 25 AugustFine apart from the chance of a light shower or two about the southwest slopes. Partly cloudy in the south, sunny in the north. Early frost and fog patches, mainly about the tablelands. Generally light winds.Monday 26 AugustFine apart from the chance of a light shower or two about the southwest slopes, and in the far northeast. Early frost and fog patches about the tablelands. Partly cloudy in the south, sunny in the north. Light winds.Tuesday 27 AugustFine apart from the chance of a shower or two on the far north coast. Partly cloudy.
