July Egg Output Rises 3 Percent

United States egg production totaled 7.97 billion during July 2013, up

3 percent from last year. Production included 6.88 billion table eggs, and

1.09 billion hatching eggs, of which 1.01 billion were broiler-type and 77

million were egg-type. The total number of layers during July 2013 averaged
