Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 21/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front will move across the south of South Australia on Wednesday afternoon and evening. A high near Perth on Thursday will extend eastwards and move over SA on Saturday. A trough will move across from the west early next week.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayScattered showers over the agricultural area, easing to isolated showers over the northern agricultural area during the evening. Showers more frequent about the Lower South East and southern Mount Lofty Ranges until early evening. Isolated showers over the far south of the pastoral districts and remainder of the Flinders and West Coast districts. Possible isolated thunderstorms about southern coasts until early evening. Cool with moderate to fresh west to southwesterly winds extending across all but the far east, where moderate to fresh west to northwesterly winds will persist.Thursday 22 AugustScattered showers about the southern agricultural area. Isolated showers over the remainder of the agricultural area and far south of the pastoral districts. Isolated early fog and frost in the north of the pastoral districts. Cool in the south, grading to mild in the north. Moderate to fresh west to southwesterly winds.Friday 23 AugustIsolated showers over the agricultural area and far south of the pastoral districts, scattered over the southern coasts and the Mount Lofty Ranges in the morning, contracting southwards to the southern agricultural area in the evening. Isolated early fog and frost in the north of the pastoral districts. Cool in the south grading to mild in the north and west. Moderate to fresh west to southwest winds, tending light to moderate south to southwest in the north.Saturday 24 AugustMorning fog patches in the south and isolated early frost about the Flinders district and far south of the pastoral districts. Areas of morning drizzle about the southern agricultural area. Isolated showers over southern coastal districts, contracting to southern coasts in the evening. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm in the far northeast. Light and variable winds.Sunday 25 August
Isolated early frost about the Flinders, Mid North, Riverland and far south of the North East Pastoral district. Fine apart from possible isolated showers about Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East coast during the morning. Cool to mild in the south grading to mild to warm in the north and west. Light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday afternoon to midnight Sunday are expected to be 10 to 20 mm over the southern agricultural area, reaching 20 to 30 mm about the southern Mount Lofty Ranges and Lower South East. Falls of 5 to 10 mm are expected over the northern agricultural area and up to 5 mm over the far south of the pastoral districts.
Monday until WednesdayIsolated showers developing in the west on Monday, possibly extending across the agricultural area and far south of the pastoral districts on Tuesday.
