Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 20/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A series of frontal systems are expected to pass over the southern parts of the state over the next few days. Otherwise a weak high pressure ridge extends over the far northern parts of the state, forming a weak high over the north coast late on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers about the southeastern inland, more likely about the western slopes. Showers falling as snow above 900 metres. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds.Wednesday 21 AugustIsolated showers over the southern inland, tending scattered about the western slopes. Showers falling as snow above 1000 metres. Morning frosty areas, widespread about the tablelands. Mostly sunny elsewhere. South to southwesterly winds.Thursday 22 AugustIsolated showers over the southern and central inland tending scattered in the far southeast. Showers are expected to tend widespread over the western slopes during the afternoon. Showers falling as snow above 1100 metres. Morning frosty areas. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds, windy in the southeast.Friday 23 AugustIsolated showers over the southern and central inland tending scattered in the far southeast. Showers are expected to ease during the afternoon. Showers falling as snow above 1300 metres. Morning frosty areas. Partly cloudy elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds, windy in the southeast.Saturday 24 AugustIsolated showers about the western slopes. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
