Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 20/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1027 hPa over the Nullarbor Plain is maintaining an onshore airstream tonight. A cold front will move across the south of South Australia on Wednesday. A new high will move over the State on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area. Cold in the south and about the ranges, cool over the remainder. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds.Wednesday 21 AugustMorning fog patches over the northern agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts. Early frost patches over the pastoral districts. Scattered showers extending over the agricultural area and south of the Pastoral districts. Possible isolated thunder about southern coasts. Cool in the south, grading to mild in the north. Moderate to fresh northwest winds, turning west to southwest from the west.Thursday 22 AugustIsolated showers over the agricultural area and south of the Pastoral districts, tending scattered over the southern agricultural area. Cool in the south, grading to mild in the north. Moderate to fresh west to southwest winds.Friday 23 AugustIsolated showers over the agricultural area and south of the Pastoral districts, scattered over the southern coasts and the Mount Lofty Ranges in the morning, contracting southwards to the southern agricultural area in the evening. Cool in the south grading to mild in the north and west. Moderate to fresh west to southwest winds, tending light to moderate south to southwest in the north.Saturday 24 AugustMorning fog patches over Eyre Peninsula, the northern agricultural area and the south of the pastoral districts. Isolated showers over southern coastal districts, contracting to the southern coasts in the evening. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm in the far northeast. Light and variable winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday afternoon to midnight Saturday are expected to be 10 to 20 mm over the southern agricultural area, reaching 20 to 30 mm about the Mount Lofty Ranges and Lower South East coast. 5 to 10 mm over the northern agricultural area and up to 5 mm over the south of the pastoral districts.Sunday until TuesdayBecoming fine early throughout on Sunday. Isolated showers developing in the west on Monday, with possible isolated showers across the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts on Tuesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
