MELBOURNE - Aug 18/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A strong cold front is moving across New South Wales, while a deep low pressure system lies to the south of Tasmania. As the front moves to the Tasman Sea during Tuesday, a ridge of high pressure is forecast to strengthen across the state's north and remain in place through the week. This will promote generally fine but cooler weather in most areas, although subsequent cold fronts skimming the southern districts later in the week could bring a few showers to Victorian border regions.
