Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 13/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front is moving across most of the State this morning and the far northeast this afternoon. Another front will traverse the State during Friday. A deep low will move eastwards to the south during Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers extending over the West Coast district, agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts, tending scattered over the southern agricultural area during the morning. Isolated thunderstorms along western and southern coasts, contracting to the Lower South East coast in the afternoon with possible small hail, then clearing by evening. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh northwesterly winds, shifting west to southwesterly during the morning. Winds strong and gusty about the ranges and near southern coasts.Thursday 15 AugustIsolated showers about Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East coast, chiefly during the morning. Morning frost over eastern districts. Cool to mild with generally light to moderate northeast to northerly winds.Friday 16 AugustIsolated showers developing about the West Coast and central districts during the afternoon, then extending to central and eastern parts late afternoon or evening. Showers increasing to scattered about southern coasts and ranges, with possible isolated thunderstorms. Mild to warm, hot in the far north. Fresh to strong northerly winds, ahead of a cooler moderate to fresh west to southwesterly change extending from the west during the day.Saturday 17 AugustIsolated showers about the agricultural area, West Coast district and south of the pastoral districts, scattered about southern coasts. Cool to mild in the south, grading to warm in the north. Moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds, strong at times near the coast. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday to midnight Saturday are expected to be 5 to 10 mm over the agricultural area, increasing to 10 to 20 mm over the southern agricultural area and reaching 20 to 30 mm about the southern Mount Lofty Ranges and the Lower South East. Less than 2 mm about the remainder of the West Coast and the southern Pastoral districts.Sunday until TuesdayIsolated showers about the West Coast district and agricultural areas and far south of the pastorals, contracting to the southern agricultural area on Tuesday. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh northwest to southwest winds, strong about southern coasts.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
