Weather Situation A high pressure ridge over New South Wales is weakening. A series of cold fronts will cross the state over the next few days with the first front moving through during Monday. The strongest front is expected to cross the state during the next weekend Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers developing in the southern inland. Partly cloudy in the remainder. West to northwest winds.Monday 12 AugustScattered showers developing over the southern and central parts, becoming widespread over the eastern Riverina and western slopes of the southern ranges and falling as snow above about 1000 metres. Partly cloudy in the north. Strong to gale force west to northwest winds ahead of the gusty southwesterly change in the west and southeast.Tuesday 13 AugustIsolated showers clearing over the southern ranges and slopes with snow above about 1000 metres. West to southwest winds, fresh to strong and gusty in the south at first, easing during the afternoon.Wednesday 14 AugustIsolated showers developing over the inland south, more widespread over the western slopes of the southern ranges at first with snow above about 1300 metres. Chance of showers in the far northeast. Northwesterly winds developing, becoming fresh to strong and gusty in the southeast.Thursday 15 AugustThe chance of light morning showers over the southern ranges and slopes with snow above about 1200 metres.
