Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 10/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high over southern Queensland is moving slowly eastwards. Cold fronts are expected to move over the southern half of the State on Monday and Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayPatchy rain extending from the west over the West Coast district, northern agricultural area and south Pastoral districts, contracting to east of about Tarcoola by late evening. Isolated showers developing over southern coasts, and possibly over the remainder of the southern agricultural area in the evening. Possible thunder in the far west at first this morning, then near southern coasts from late afternoon. Mild in the south grading to warm in the north with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, freshening near southern and western coasts.Monday 12 AugustPatchy rain over northern agricultural areas and southern Pastoral districts east of about Woomera, contracting eastwards and clearing by around the middle of the day. Isolated showers over the agricultural area and West Coast district, scattered over the southern agricultural area. Showers temporarily clearing by midday, then re-developing over the southern agricultural area in the evening. Possible thunderstorms over Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East district. Possible small hail about the Lower South East in the morning. Moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds, strong at times near southern coasts. Cool in the south grading to mild to warm in the far north.Tuesday 13 AugustIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area, more likely about the coast. Cool to mild with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, fresh near southern coasts.Wednesday 14 AugustIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area, scattered over Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh northwesterly winds, shifting west to southwesterly during the day. Winds fresh to strong near southern coasts. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning to midnight Wednesday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm over the agricultural area, West Coast, Flinders and south of the Pastoral districts, increasing to 10 to 30 mm over the Mount Lofty Ranges and the Lower South East.Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers near southern coasts clearing Thursday morning, then fine on Friday. Isolated showers developing over the agricultural area, West coast district and south of the Pastoral districts on Saturday. Cool to mild on Thursday with mostly light winds, then becoming warmer on Friday, ahead of a cooler west to southwesterly change on Saturday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Sunday.Product IDS10033
