Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 10/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A vast high pressure system will dominate the state during the weekend before moving to the Coral Sea by Monday. A cold front is expected to cross the state on Monday, bringing windy conditions and showers to the southern half of the state. A high pressure ridge will be briefly reinstated over New South Wales on Tuesday, followed by next cold front passage on Wednesday and Thursday, triggering another round of showers over the southern inland.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayClear. Chiefly light to moderate west to southwest winds, tending light and variable along the coast.Sunday 11 AugustEarly fog and frost on the ranges. Cloud increasing with showers developing in the far southwest. Partly cloudy remainder. West to northwest winds.Monday 12 AugustScattered showers developing over the southern and central parts, becoming widespread over the eastern Riverina and western slopes of the southern ranges and falling as snow above about 1000 metres. Partly cloudy in the north. Strong to gale force west to northwest winds ahead of the gusty southwesterly change in the west and southeast.Tuesday 13 AugustIsolated showers over the inland southeast, more widespread over the western slopes of the southern ranges at first with snow above about 1000 metres. Clearing during the day. West to southwest winds, fresh to strong and gusty in the south at first, easing during the afternoon.Wednesday 14 AugustIsolated showers developing over the inland south, more widespread over the western slopes of the southern ranges at first with snow above about 1400 metres. The chance of afternoon showers in the far northeast. Northwesterly winds developing, becoming fresh to strong and gusty in the southeast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EST Sunday.Product IDN10031
