Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 9/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A complex low pressure system over the western Tasman Sea is bringing southerly winds to the northern NSW coast. A high pressure ridge over the northern inland is directing northwesterly winds over the remainder of the state. A weak front will pass to the south on Saturday morning before another ridge moves over the state Sunday. A stronger front is expected to cross the south of the state on Mondayy.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers over the far southeast with snow showers over the Alps above 1600 metres. Partly cloudy remainder. South to southwesterly on the north coast, northwest winds remainder.Saturday 10 AugustMorning fog and frost on the slopes and ranges. Isolated clearing showers on the western slopes of the far southern ranges and coast. Partly cloudy remainder. West to northwest winds, tending south to southwest in the west and south.Sunday 11 AugustCloud increasing with showers developing in the far southwest. Partly cloudy remainder. West to northwest winds.Monday 12 AugustScattered showers developing over the southern and central parts, becoming widespread over the Riverina and western slopes of the southern ranges and falling as snow above about 1000 metres. Partly cloudy in the north. West to northwest winds ahead of the southwesterly change in the west and southeast.Tuesday 13 AugustIsolated showers in the southeast, more widespread over the western slopes of the southern ranges at first with snow above about 1000 metres. Clearing during the day. West to southwest winds, fresh to strong and gusty in the south.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EST Saturday.Product IDN10031
