MELBOURNE - Aug 8/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A complex low pressure system off New South Wales coast will move rapidly to the east on Wednesday as a high pressure system moves over central parts of the state extending a ridge to the western Tasman Sea. This high will weaken over the Tasman Sea on Sunday and a cold front is expected to cross the state during Monday. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated coastal showers clearing from the south but tending scattered along the coastal fringe. Partly cloudy elsewhere.. South to southwesterly winds, fresh along the coast.Friday 9 AugustMorning fog and frost inland. Isolated showers on the western slopes of the southern ranges with snow showers above 1500 metres. Partly cloudy. remainder. West to northwesterly winds tending south to southwesterly on the north coast.Saturday 10 AugustMorning fog and frost on the slopes and ranges. Isolated clearing showers on the western slopes of the far southern ranges. Partly cloudy remainder. West to northwest winds, tending south to southwest in the west and south.Sunday 11 AugustThe chance of showers in the far southwest. Partly cloudy remainder. West to northwest winds.Monday 12 AugustIsolated showers in the southern and central parts. Partly cloudy in the north.
