Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 7/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough over central NSW extends to the east overnight before developing into a low pressure system over the Tasman Sea tomorrow. Showers associated with the trough will contract to the east of the state overnight, and then the coastal districts tomorrow morning where windy conditions are expected to develop. A high pressure system will move in behind the trough tomorrow, extending across northeastern NSW on Friday as a cold front sweeps across the southeast of the state.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers across much of the state, clearing in the far west overnight. Showers tending scattered over the southern slopes and ranges, with a chance of isolated thunderstorms. Showers falling as snow above 1200m. Southwest winds, tending west to northwest over the eastern half of the state.Thursday 8 AugustMorning fog and frosts. Isolated showers over the eastern half of the state, contracting to the coast during the morning. Showers tending scattered over the far southeast, with a chance of isolated thunderstorms. Showers falling as snow above 900-1000m. Partly cloudy and fine elsewhere. South to southwesterly winds, strong along the coast.Friday 9 AugustMorning fog and frosts. Isolated showers over the southern inland and coast. Fine remainder. Southerly winds in the northeast. North to northwesterly winds in the south and west.Saturday 10 AugustMorning fog and frosts. Isolated showers over the southern ranges and southwestern slopes. Fine remainder. West to northwest winds, tending south to southwest in the west and south.Sunday 11 AugustA chance of isolated showers in the far west. Fine remainder.
