Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 4/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1027 hPa centred over the far northwest of SA will move eastwards to be centred over Queensland on Monday. A cold front will pass across the south late Monday and early Tuesday. A high will move over the Bight on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers over the agricultural area, the Flinders district and far south of the pastoral districts, tending scattered over Kangaroo Island, the Fleurieu Peninsula and the South East district. Morning. Cool with light to moderate west to northwest winds.Monday 5 AugustIsolated showers about southern coastal districts, increasing to scattered showers with possible isolated thunderstorms in the evening over Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East district. Mild to warm with moderate to fresh northwest winds, strong about southern coasts, turning west to southwest in the west and far south.Tuesday 6 AugustScattered showers over the southern agricultural area and far southwest of the Flinders district, becoming isolated in the afternoon, with isolated showers elsewhere south of about Woomera. Cool in the south, grading to warm in the north. Moderate to fresh west to northwest winds, turning southwesterly, strong about southern coasts.Wednesday 7 August
Isolated showers about the southern agricultural area and southwest of the Flinders district, contracting to southern coasts in the evening. Possible isolated showers over inland eastern districts south of about Broken Hill until evening. Cool in the south grading to warm in the far north. Moderate south to southwest winds, becoming light and variable.
Thursday 8 AugustFine apart from early fog patches in the east. Mild to warm with moderate northerly winds, fresh in the west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday evening to midnight Thursday are expected to be 15 to 25 mm over the Lower South East district, 5 to 15 mm over the remainder of the southern agricultural area, 2 to 5 mm over the northern agricultural area and up to 2 mm over the south of the Pastoral districts and far west coast.Friday until SundayIsolated showers developing over the far west and southern coasts on Friday, extending over the southern agricultural area on Saturday, then the northern agricultural area on Sunday and becoming scattered over the southern agricultural area.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Monday.Product IDS10033
