Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 3/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1027 hPa over Western Australia will move eastwards to be centred over the north of South Australia on Sunday, then over Queensland on Monday. A cold front is passing across the southeast of the State this afternoon, with another front passing across the south on late Monday and early Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayScattered showers over the southern agricultural area and southwest of the Flinders district, with isolated showers extending into the south of the pastoral districts. Cool with moderate to fresh west to southwest winds, strong about southern coasts.Sunday 4 AugustIsolated showers over the agricultural area, the Flinders district and far south of the pastoral districts, tending scattered over Kangaroo Island, the Fleurieu Peninsula and the South East district. Isolated morning fog patches over the northern agricultural area, west coast and pastoral districts. Cool with light to moderate northwest to southwesterly winds.Monday 5 AugustIsolated showers about southern coastal districts, increasing to scattered with possible isolated thunderstorms in the evening over Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East district. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm in the north. Moderate northwesterly winds freshening about coastal parts.Tuesday 6 August
Scattered showers over the southern agricultural area and far southwest of the Flinders district, becoming isolated in the afternoon, with isolated showers elsewhere south of about Woomera. Cool in the south, grading to warm in the north. Moderate to fresh west to northwest winds, turning southwesterly, strong about southern coasts.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday morning to midnight Tuesday are expected to be up to 5 mm over the southern Pastoral districts, the northern agricultural area and the West Coast district, increasing to 5 to 15 mm over the southern agricultural area. Falls of 10 to 30 mm are possible about the Mount Lofty Ranges and the southern coasts.
Wednesday 7 AugustIsolated showers about the southern agricultural area and southwest of the Flinders District, contracting to southern coasts in the evening. Cool in the south grading to warm in the far north. Moderate south south to southwest winds, becoming light and variable.Thursday until SaturdayBecoming fine early Thursday, the isolated showers extending across the west coast and southern agricultural area, increasing to scattered about southern coasts on Saturday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Sunday.Product IDS10033
