MELBOURNE - Jul 30/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high 1026 hPa over the west of the State will move southeastwards over Victoria on Wednesday. A cold front will move across the west of the State late on Thursday then over the remainder on Friday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayAreas of morning fog over the West Coast district and south of the Northwest Pastoral, patchy morning fog elsewhere south of Roxby Downs. Possible isolated showers about the far west and southern coasts and also in the morning about coasts and ranges near northern parts of the Gulfs. Cool to mild with light and variable winds.Wednesday 31 JulyEarly frost over the Mid North and Flinders. Possible isolated morning showers about Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East coast. Fine elsewhere. Cool to mild with light and variable winds, tending moderate northerly in the far west and south.Thursday 1 AugustEarly frost over eastern districts. Isolated showers developing over the western and southern coasts during the evening. Light to moderate northerly winds, freshening about southern and western coasts.Friday 2 AugustScattered showers extending across the agricultural area with isolated showers over the south of the pastoral districts. Possible isolated thunderstorms and small hail about western and southern coastal districts. Moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds, strong at times about the coasts. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday morning to midnight Friday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm over the agricultural area, increasing to 10 to 15 mm over the Mount Lofty Ranges and southern coasts. Less than 2 mm is expected over the south of the pastoral districts.Saturday until MondayIsolated showers over the agricultural area on Saturday, scattered over the southern agricultural area. Showers easing and contracting to southern coasts on Sunday and Monday.
