Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 29/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is moving slowly eastwards. The next cold front is moving through NSW and will continue across to the coast on Monday and Tuesday before another high moves across the state from the west.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers and possible thunder from the central north to the southeast, showers more widespread about the western slopes of the southern ranges with snow on the peaks. Isolated showers also over the far northeast but fine for the remainder though. North to northwesterly winds, fresh and gusty on the southern and central ranges. A west to southwesterly change in the west.Tuesday 30 JulyFine and partly cloudy over the western half of the state. Isolated showers over the eastern half, most widespread and frequent along the western slopes of the ranges during the day. A west to southwesterly change extending across the eastern half during the morning, with a southerly change following during the afternoon.Wednesday 31 JulyIsolated showers along the northern half of the coast, most widespread over the Lower Hunter and southern Mid North Coast. Fine remainder. Mostly sunny. Early fog and frost areas, mainly over the ranges and southern inland. South to southeast winds.Thursday 1 AugustIsolated showers along central parts of the coast, mainly around the Port Stephens area. Fine remainder. Mostly sunny. Early fog and frosts, mainly over the ranges and southern inland. South to southeast winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Monday.Product IDN10031
