MELBOURNE - Jul 29/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A weak cold front over Kangaroo Island will move slowly east this morning and dissipate. A second front will move across the south during this afternoon and evening. A high will move over the State from the west on Tuesday, then another front will move across the west of the State late on Thursday. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers extending over the agricultural area, west coast and southern parts of the pastoral districts. Showers increasing to scattered about southern coastal districts during the late afternoon and evening. Morning fog patches. Warm in the northeast, cool to mild elsewhere. Moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds in the south, tending light to moderate south to southwest inland.Tuesday 30 JulyIsolated showers about the southern agricultural area and west coast, contracting to southern coasts in the evening. Cool to mild with light and variable winds.Wednesday 31 JulyEarly frost over the Mid North and Flinders. Isolated morning showers about Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East coast. Fine elsewhere. Cool to mild with light and variable winds, tending moderate northerly in the far west and south.Thursday 1 AugustIsolated showers developing over the far west coast and southern coastal areas. Light to moderate northerly winds, freshening about southern and western coasts. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday morning to midnight Thursday are expected to be 5 to 10 mm about southern coasts and ranges, 2 to 5 mm over the remainder of the southern agricultural area and less than 2 mm over the northern agricultural area and far south of the pastoral districts.Friday until SundayScattered showers extending across the agricultural area with isolated showers over the south of the pastoral districts. Showers easing to isolated over the agricultural area on Saturday then contracting to southern coasts on Sunday.
