Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 28/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is moving slowly eastwards. A deep low pressure system south of the Bight is moving southeastwards and weakening as it approaches NSW and Victoria. The next cold front is expected to reach the state's western border during Sunday, continuing across to the coast on Monday and Tuesday before another high moves across the state from the west.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers in the far northeast, and developing across the southern inland later. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Northeast to northwesterly winds, becoming fresh and gusty in the west and south and strong to gale force about the far southern ranges.Monday 29 JulyFine and partly cloudy over the western half of the state. Isolated showers over the eastern half, most widespread and frequent along the western slopes of the southern ranges. Isolated afternoon thunderstorms possible over the northern inland. Morning fog areas in the northeast, and early frost patches about the northern ranges. North to northwesterly winds, fresh and gusty on the southern and central ranges. A west to southwesterly change in the west.Tuesday 30 JulyFine and partly cloudy over the western half of the state. Isolated showers over the eastern half, most widespread and frequent along the western slopes of the ranges during the day. A west to southwesterly change extending across the eastern half during the morning, with a southerly change following during the afternoon.Wednesday 31 JulyIsolated showers along the northern half of the coast, most widespread over the Lower Hunter and southern Mid North Coast. Fine remainder. Mostly sunny. Early fog and frost areas, mainly over the ranges and southern inland. South to southeast winds.Thursday 1 AugustIsolated showers along central parts of the coast, mainly around the Port Stephens area. Fine remainder. Mostly sunny.
