Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 27/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred over the southeast of New South Wales will continue to move slowly eastwards to be centred over the Tasman Sea this afternoon. A series of cold fronts will move over southern parts of South Australia on Sunday and early next week ahead of another high following in the wake of these fronts. Another front will move across from the west later in the week.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers possibly developing over the West Coast district during the day, and then about Lower Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island in the evening. Isolated thunderstorms possible about the west coast late evening. Cool to mild with fresh to strong northerly winds.Sunday 28 JulyScattered showers developing about southern coasts. Isolated showers over remaining parts of southern coastal districts. Isolated showers possible over the remainder of the southern agricultural area and near western coasts. Isolated thunderstorms possible about southern and western coasts early morning. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds extending throughout, strong near southern coasts.Monday 29 JulyIsolated showers extending over the agricultural area and near the west coast, increasing to scattered showers about southern coastal districts. Cool in the south and cool to mild in the north. Moderate west to southwesterly winds, fresh to strong at times near southern coasts.Tuesday 30 July
Isolated showers about the southern agricultural area and about the west coast. Cool to mild with moderate northwest to southwesterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals for the period Saturday morning through to midnight Tuesday are expected to be 5 to 15 mm near southern coasts, 2 to 5 mm over the remainder of the southern agricultural area and less than 2 mm elsewhere.
Wednesday until FridayIsolated showers about southern coasts extending over the agricultural area later in the period. Cool to mild with moderate northwesterly winds freshening ahead of a southwesterly change later in the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Saturday.Product IDS10033
