Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 25/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system over southeast Australia is gradually drifting east. By Saturday it is expected to be centred above the Tasman Sea, while maintaining a ridge into northern New South Wales. The next cold front is expected to reach the state's western border during Sunday, continuing across to the coast on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayThe chance of showers on the far north coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Early frosts inland, and morning fog patches. Generally light winds, with freshening westerlies developing across the southern ranges in the afternoon.Saturday 27 JulyThe chance of showers on the far north coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Early frost inland, and morning fog patches. Generally light winds, with freshening northerlies developing in the far west during the afternoon.Sunday 28 JulyIsolated showers developing across the southern inland, and the chance of showers on the far north coast. Possible thunderstorms near the Victorian border. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Northeast to northwesterly wind, becoming fresh and gusty in the south and east.Monday 29 JulyFine and partly cloudy in the far west. Isolated showers across the remainder, mainly over the southeast.
