Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 25/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred over New South Wales will continue to move slowly eastwards to be centred over the Tasman Sea by Saturday. A series of cold fronts will move over southern parts of South Australia later in the weekend and early next week ahead of another high following in the wake of these fronts.
Forecast for the rest of FridayAreas of morning frost over inland parts. Possible isolated showers clearing from southern coastal areas. Cool to mild with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds, fresh at times near the coast.Saturday 27 JulyPossible isolated showers developing over the West Coast district during the day, and then about Lower Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island in the evening. Cool to mild with fresh to strong northerly winds.Sunday 28 JulyIsolated showers over the agricultural area increasing to scattered showers about southern coasts and ranges. Possible isolated thunderstorms about southern coasts early morning. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh northwest to westerly winds extending throughout.Monday 29 July
Isolated showers about the southern agricultural area and near the west coast. Cool in the south and cool to mild in the north. Moderate west to southwesterly winds, fresh at times near southern coasts.
Cumulative rainfall totals for the period Friday morning through to midnight Monday are expected to be 5 to 15 mm about southern coasts and the Mount Lofty Ranges south of about Eudunda, 2 to 5 mm over the remainder of the southern agricultural area and less than 2 mm elsewhere.
Tuesday until ThursdayIsolated showers about the southern agricultural area extending over the remainder of the agricultural area and about the west coast later in the period. Cool to mild with north to northwesterly winds freshening ahead of a southwesterly change later.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Friday.Product IDS10033
