Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 24/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over Mount Gambier will move slowly eastwards to be over New South Wales on Thursday and Friday. A weak trough will pass over southern parts on Thursday ahead of a more significant cold front and associated low pressure system later in the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayFine. Cool with mainly light winds.Thursday 25 JulyAreas of morning frost and possible fog mainly over inland parts of the central and eastern districts. Cloud developing in the south during the day with isolated showers most likely over southern coastal parts. Mostly sunny in the north. Cool to mild with mainly light winds turning northerly during the day.Friday 26 JulyIsolated morning fog and frost over inland parts of central and eastern districts. Possible isolated showers clearing from the southern coastal areas. Cool to mild with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds.Saturday 27 JulyFine and mostly sunny at first. Possible isolated showers developing over the West Coast district during the day, and then the Lower Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island in the evening. Cool to mild with freshening northerly winds.Sunday 28 JulyIsolated showers over the agricultural areas and West Coast district increasing to scattered showers about southern coasts and ranges. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals for the rest of Wednesday through to midnight Sunday are expected to be less than 2 mm, with falls of 2 to 10 mm about southern coasts and the Mount Lofty ranges.Monday until WednesdayIsolated showers at times about agricultural areas and the West Coast district, possibly increasing to scattered showers about the southern coasts and ranges late in the period. Remaining cool in the south and cool to mild in the north. Moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Thursday.Product IDS10033
