MELBOURNE - Jul 23/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A complex low pressure system near Tasmania with an associated trough over southeastern Australia is slowly moving to the south-southeast as a high pressure system moves south of the Bight extending a ridge across western and northeastern New South Wales. This high will be centred over the Tasman Sea by Friday and then it will move slowly east maintaining the ridge to the northwest. The next cold front is expected to move across the state Sunday and Monday. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated coastal showers north from the Illawarra, more widespread about the Hunter coast and southern Mid North Coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Early frost areas, mostly about the ranges. Early fog patches west of the ranges. Southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh to strong along the coast. Dangerous surf conditions.Thursday 25 JulyIsolated coastal showers in the north. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Morning frost areas, widespread and more severe about the southern and central ranges. Morning fog patches, chiefly west of the ranges. South to southeasterly winds tending variable inland.Friday 26 JulyIsolated showers on the far north coast. Mostly clear elsewhere. Early frost and fog. Light and variable wind inland, tending westerly over the ranges.Saturday 27 JulyFine after morning frost and fog.
