Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 23/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system [1034hPa] over the Bight will move southeastwards to be centred near Mount Gambier later on Wednesday. A weak trough will pass over southern parts on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayFine and partly cloudy in the south, mostly clear in the north. Light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 24 JulyFine apart from possible early morning fog patches. Early morning frost patches, mainly on and east of the ranges. Cool with mainly light winds.Thursday 25 JulyIsolated showers developing over the southern coasts with possible afternoon or evening isolated showers extending north to about Wudinna to Keith. Cool to mild with mainly light winds.Friday 26 JulyPossible isolated showers over the south of the Lower South East district, clearing during the afternoon. Cool to mild with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Saturday 27 JulyPossible isolated showers west of about Fowlers Bay in the morning extending over the West Coast, Kangaroo Island and southern coasts during the day. Cool to mild with freshening northerly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday afternoon through to midnight Saturday are expected to be less than 2 mm, with possible falls of 2 to 5 mm about the Lower South East coast, Kangaroo Island and southern parts of the Fleurieu Peninsula.Sunday until TuesdayIsolated showers over the agricultural areas and West Coast district, scattered at first about southern coasts and ranges. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds easing later in the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
