MELBOURNE - Jul 22/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A complex low pressure system near Tasmania with an associated trough over southeastern Australia is slowly moving to the south-southeast as a high pressure system moves south of the Bight extending a ridge across western and northeastern New South Wales. This high will be centred over the Tasman Sea by Friday and then it will move slowly east maintaining the ridge to the northwest. The next cold front is expected to move across the state during Sunday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers on the western slopes of the southern and central ranges, falling as snow above 1000 metres. The chance of late showers along central parts of the coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Early frost on the slopes and ranges. South to southwesterly winds.Wednesday 24 JulyIsolated coastal showers. Partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds.Thursday 25 JulyIsolated coastal showers possibly extending to the eastern ranges in the north but clearing from the south in the morning. Partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds tending variable inland.Friday 26 JulyIsolated showers in the north. Mostly clear elsewhere.
