MELBOURNE - Jul 22/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system [1030hPa] over the Bight will move southeastwards to be centred near Mount Gambier later on Wednesday. A weak trough will pass over southern parts on Thursday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers over the agricultural area, clearing by the evening. Morning fog patches inland. Early morning frost patches, mainly on and east of the Flinders Ranges. Cool with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Wednesday 24 JulyFine apart from possible early morning fog patches. Early morning frost patches on and east of the ranges. Cool with mainly light winds.Thursday 25 JulyIsolated showers developing over the southern coasts with possible afternoon or evening showers extending north to about Wudinna to Keith. Cool to mild with mainly light winds.Friday 26 JulyIsolated showers over the south of the Lower South East district, clearing during the afternoon. Cool to mild with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday morning through to midnight Friday are expected to be less than 2 mm over the agricultural area with possible falls of 2 to 5 mm about the Lower South East coast, Kangaroo Island and southern parts of Fleurieu Peninsula.Saturday until MondayPossible isolated showers west of about Fowlers Bay Saturday morning extending over the West Coast and agricultural areas during Sunday and becoming scattered about the coast before easing on Monday and clearing from the northern agricultural area.
