June Egg Output Rises 3 Percent

United States egg production totaled 7.75 billion during June 2013, up

3 percent from last year. Production included 6.68 billion table eggs, and

1.07 billion hatching eggs, of which 993 million were broiler-type and 74

million were egg-type. The total number of layers during June 2013 averaged
