Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 20/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low 1002 hPa just off the Lower South East coast will move northwards today and weaken, then move east southeast over Victoria on Monday. A high will ridge in over the Bight during Monday then move slowly eastwards to be centred near Adelaide later Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers south of about Yunta to Marree to Coober Pedy, increasing to scattered showers over the agricultural area with possible snow about the higher peaks of the Flinders and Gammon Ranges. Widespread showers and possible isolated thunderstorms about southern coasts and ranges and the west coast of Eyre Peninsula. Isolated small hail with showers southeast of about Ceduna to Marree. Cold to very cold with mainly moderate to fresh northwest to southwest winds.Monday 22 JulyIsolated showers south of about Woomera to Yunta, increasing to scattered showers over the southern agricultural area. Early morning frost patches on and east of the Flinders Ranges and in the far northwest. Cold with moderating southwest to southerly winds.Tuesday 23 JulyIsolated showers over the agricultural area, contracting to southern coasts by the evening. Possible early morning fog patches. Cool with light winds.Wednesday 24 JulyFine apart from possible early morning fog patches. Cool with mainly light winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning through to midnight Wednesday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm over the northern agricultural area and Flinders district, increasing to 10 to 20 mm over the southern agricultural area, with local falls of 20 to 35 mm over parts of the Mount Lofty Ranges, southern Kangaroo Island, South East coast and west coast of Eyre Peninsula. Less than 5 mm over the pastoral districts.Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers possible over the southern agricultural area. Generally mild with light winds becoming moderate northerly later in the period.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Sunday.Product IDS10033
