MELBOURNE - Jul 13/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A weak front will move across western and central parts of the State today and eastern parts on Monday morning. A high will then move across the State later on Monday and a deep low will move in south of the Bight on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayAreas of rain and scattered thunderstorms in the Northeast Pastoral, easing to isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and contracting northeast of Marree. Isolated showers over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts, tending scattered about southern coasts. Isolated thunderstorms over eastern agricultural districts early morning and about the Lower South East coast in the afternoon. Early fog patches over the pastoral districts. Warm in the far northeast, mild elsewhere. Moderate northwest to southwest winds.Monday 15 JulyIsolated showers and thunderstorms northeast of about Marree, contracting northeast and clearing. Isolated showers over the agricultural area and far south of the pastorals, tending scattered in the morning about the Lower South East coast, contracting southwards to southern coasts in the evening. Morning fog patches about the west coast, south of the pastorals and the northern agricultural area. Cool to mild with mainly light winds.Tuesday 16 JulyFine apart from early fog patches mainly on and east of the ranges. Mild with light winds becoming moderate northerly from the west.Wednesday 17 JulyAreas of rain extending from the west across most of the State. Mild to warm with fresh to strong and gusty northerly winds ahead of a cooler westerly change in the west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning to midnight Wednesday are expected to be 5 to 15 mm over the agricultural area, Flinders and south of the Northwest Pastoral. Up to 5 mm elsewhere.Thursday until SaturdayAreas of rain in the east, clearing during Thursday.
