Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 13/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high will remain slow-moving over the Tasman Sea. A low over the Bight will move southeastwards on Saturday, with a weak front moving across the southeast late Sunday or early Monday, then a high will become established over the north of the State during Monday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayAreas of rain and isolated thunderstorms in the north and east, more widespread about the Flinders. Isolated showers over much of the remainder. A mild evening with moderate to fresh northerly winds, turning fresh northwest to westerly in the far west.Sunday 14 JulyAreas of rain in the east with isolated thunderstorms in the northeast, contracting northeastwards. Isolated showers over the southern agricultural area and west coast. Early morning fog patches about the western Flinders. Warm in the far northeast, mild elsewhere. Moderate northwest to westerly winds.Monday 15 JulyIsolated showers and thunderstorms northeast of about Marree, contracting northeast and clearing. Isolated showers over the agricultural area and far south of the pastorals, increasing to scattered in the morning about the Lower South East coasts, contracting southwards to southern coasts in the evening. Morning fog patches about the west coast, south of the pastorals and the northern agricultural area. Cool to mild with mainly light winds.Tuesday 16 JulyFine apart from early fog patches mainly on and east of the ranges. Mild with light winds becoming moderate northerly from the west.Wednesday 17 JulyAreas of rain extending from the west across most of the State. Mild to warm with fresh to strong and gusty northerly winds ahead of a cooler westerly change in the west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday afternoon to midnight Wednesday are expected to be less than 5 mm over much of the Pastorals increasing to 5 to 15 mm across much of the remaining districts and locally reaching 15 to 25 mm with thunderstorms or about southern coasts and ranges.Thursday until SaturdayAreas of rain in the east, clearing during Thursday. Isolated showers over the agricultural area and west coast, possibly extending into the southern pastorals and increasing to scattered showers about southern coastal districts during Thursday and Friday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Sunday.Product IDS10033
