Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 12/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong, semi-stationary high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea extends a ridge to northwestern New South Wales. During Sunday and Monday a low pressure trough will move across the west and southeast of the state. Another more vigorous trough/cold front is expected to cross the state during Wednesday and Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayPatchy fog in the east. Isolated light showers on the northern coast. Patchy rain over the southern and central inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Light winds throughout.Saturday 13 JulyMorning fog patches in the east. Patchy rain over the southern inland. Isolated light showers on the coastal fringe in the far north. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Light and variable winds in the east, tending northerly in the west.Sunday 14 JulyPatchy rain in the west, extending to central and southeastern parts during the day and becoming more widespread in the southwest later. Isolated light showers on the coastal fringe in the far north. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Light and variable winds near northern and central parts of the coast. Northeast to northwest winds elsewhere.Monday 15 JulyRain areas inland, extending to the central and southern coast during the day, while clearing closer to the South Australian border. Rain lighter and patchier east of the Divide. The chance of a light shower or two along the coastal fringe in the far north. Morning fog over far western parts of the state. Northwest to northeast winds.Tuesday 16 JulyRain over central western parts of the state, becoming patchier during the day. Isolated showers over the coastal fringe in the far north.
