MELBOURNE - Jul 11/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A strong high pressure system over the Tasman sea will move northwards on Friday whilst a low pressure system develops over southern W.A. and a weak cold front moves south of Tasmania. The high will remain over the Tasman Sea during the weekend while the low pressure system will move into Bight waters on Saturday and slip southwest of Tasmania on Sunday. Another frontal system will approach the Bight later on Monday as the high starts to move slowly eastwards across the Tasman Sea. Forecast for the rest of FridayEarly fog and frost patches inland. Patchy rain developing in the west during the afternoon and evening. Remaining dry over central and eastern districts. A cool mild day with cloud increasing. Light to moderate northerly winds.Saturday 13 JulyAreas of rain extending across most districts except the far east. Cool and cloudy with moderate north to northeasterly winds.Sunday 14 JulyAreas of rain over most districts, tending to scattered showers in the west.
