Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 11/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong, semi-stationary high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea extends a ridge to northwestern New South Wales. During Sunday and Monday a low pressure trough will move across the west and southeast of the state. Another more vigorous trough/cold front is expected to cross the state during Wednesday and Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayMorning fog areas, mostly in the east. Isolated showers on the northern coast. Patchy rain over the southern and central inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds in the north, and northeast to northwesterly winds across the south.Saturday 13 JulyMorning fog patches in the east. Patchy rain over the southern inland and the chance of showers on the north coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Light and variable winds in the east, tending northerly in the west.Sunday 14 JulyPatchy rain in the west, extending to central and southeastern parts during the day and increasing to areas of rain in the southwest later. Isolated showers on the far north coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Light and variable winds near northern and central parts of the coast. Northeast to northwest winds elsewhere.Monday 15 JulyRain areas inland possibly extending to the south and central coasts. Isolated showers on the far coast.
