MELBOURNE - Jul 10/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A strong high pressure system over the Tasman sea will move northwards on Friday whilst a low pressure system develops over southern W.A. and a weak cold front moves south of Tasmania. The high will remain over the Tasman Sea during the weekend while the low pressure system will move into Bight waters on Saturday and slip southwest of Tasmania on Sunday. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayMorning fog and frost patches inland. A fine and cool day to follow with increasing high cloud. Light to moderate north to northeasterly winds.Friday 12 JulyIsolated showers possible over northern districts with patchy rain developing in the west during the afternoon and evening and increasing over the northwest at night. Remaining dry over the Central district and Gippsland. Cool and mostly cloudy with light to moderate northerly winds.Saturday 13 JulyAreas of rain over most northern and western regions. Patchy rain elsewhere. Cool and cloudy with moderate north to northeasterly winds.Sunday 14 JulyAreas of rain over most districts.
