MELBOURNE - Jul 10/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A strong high pressure system is moving slowly into the south Tasman Sea and will be slow moving on Thursday. The high will move northwards on Friday whilst a cold front passes south of Tasmania, returning to a position just east of Bass Strait on the weekend. A low pressure system is expected to form over southern W.A. on Friday before moving over Bight waters on Saturday and to a location southwest of Tasmania on Sunday. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayClear night with light winds.Thursday 11 JulyMorning fog and frost patches inland. A fine and cool day to follow with increasing high cloud. Light to moderate north to northeasterly winds.Friday 12 JulyAreas of rain developing over most northern regions and patchy rain developing in the south but remaining mostly dry in East Gippsland. Cool and mostly cloudy with light to moderate northerly winds.Saturday 13 JulyAreas of rain over most northern and western regions. Patchy rain elsewhere. Cool and cloudy with moderate north to northeasterly winds.Sunday 14 JulyAreas of rain over most districts.
