Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 10/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
High cloud lies over the state's north with a weak trough extending from Queensland into northwest New South Wales, combining with an upper level trough to produce some patchy rain across the northern inland. A high pressure centre lies over the southern Tasman Sea, promoting generally fine weather across the south. Towards the end of the week, a low pressure trough approaching from the west may bring some unsettled conditions to the southwest, but is more likely to affect a broader area later in the weekend as it progresses eastwards.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers east of the ranges in the north, and along the coast north of Ulladulla, tending scattered at times along the coastal fringe. Patchy light rain developing across the northern inland. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds.Thursday 11 JulyMorning fog patches on the ranges and slopes, more likely in the south. Morning frosts over the southern ranges and slopes. Isolated showers along the coast and adjacent ranges in the north, tending scattered along the coastal fringe at first. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Generally southeast to northeasterly winds.Friday 12 JulyMorning fog patches on the northern and central ranges and slopes. Isolated showers in the far northeast, more likely near the coast. Patchy rain over the far southwest. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to northeasterly winds in the north, and northeast to northwesterly winds across the south.Saturday 13 JulyMorning fog patches on the northern and central ranges and slopes. Patchy rain over the southwest inland, possibly extending to southeast districts later in the day. Isolated showers in the far northeast. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Light and variable winds in the east, tending northerly in the west.Sunday 14 JulyPatchy rain in the west, extending to central and southeast parts during the day. Patchy rain increasing to areas of rain from the southwest later. Isolated showers in the far northeast. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Light and variable winds near northern and central parts of the coast. Northeast to northwest winds elsewhere.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EST Thursday.Product IDN10031
