MELBOURNE - Jul 8/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high 1035 hPa over the east of South Australia will move across Victoria on Tuesday to be centred over the southern Tasman Sea by midnight. A middle level disturbance will move into the far north on Tuesday, clear from the northeast on Wednesday with another developing in the far northwest later Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers over southern coasts. Cool with light and variable winds.Tuesday 9 JulyEarly frost on and east of the ranges and over the north of Yorke and Eyre Peninsulas. Early fog patches east of Ceduna and south of Leigh Creek. A possible isolated shower over the west of Kangaroo Island. Patchy rain north of about Leigh Creek tending to areas of rain in the far north. Cold early, then a cool day. Light east to northeast winds.Wednesday 10 JulyEarly frost on and east of the ranges. Early fog patches over central and eastern parts of the agricultural area and northwest of about Tarcoola. Patchy rain northeast of about Marree contracting east and clearing by early afternoon. Patchy rain developing in the far northwest during the evening. Cold early then a cool to mild day with light to moderate north to northeast winds.Thursday 11 JulyEarly frost and fog patches in the east. Patchy rain extending over the Northwest Pastoral, the West Coast district and Eyre Peninsula, increasing to areas of rain northwest of about Tarcoola. Cool to mild, grading to warm in the far northeast. Light to moderate north to northeast winds.Friday 12 JulyPatchy rain south and west of a line Coober Pedy to Yunta, tending to areas of rain south and west of Tarcoola to Clare to Cape Jervis. Mild in the south, warm in the north. Light to moderate north to northeast winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday afternoon to midnight Friday are expected to be 15 to 25 mm in the far north and far west, 5 to 15 mm over the remainder of the north and west and less than 5 mm south of Leigh Creek and east of a line Leigh Creek to Adelaide.Saturday until MondayAreas of rain extending across the State, contracting to the east on Sunday and clearing from the northeast on Monday.
