Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 7/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure extends from South Australia to New South Wales. A high pressure centre will strengthen over South Australia during Monday then will move across Victoria on Tuesday and will be centred over the Tasman Sea on Wednesday and Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayScattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the the south with local hail, contracting to the coast during the evening. Isolated showers elsewhere clearing from the northwest during the evening. Remaining dry over east Gippsland. Snowfalls above 1000m. Light to moderate west to northwesterly winds.Monday 8 JulyIsolated showers mainly on and south of the ranges, scattered near the southwest and central coasts. Isolated thunderstorms possible near the coast during the morning. Local hail possible in the south. Snowfalls down to 1000m. Light to moderate west to southwesterly winds, easing from the west later.Tuesday 9 JulyWidespread morning frost and fog patches then a cool and mostly sunny day with light winds.Wednesday 10 JulyWidespread morning frost and fog patches then a cool and mostly sunny day with light to moderate north to northeasterly winds.Thursday 11 JulyMorning fog and frost patches then a partly cloudy day.
