Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 7/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure extends from South Australia to New South Wales. A weak cold front over the Southern Ocean will cross Tasmania later today. A high pressure centre will strengthen over South Australia during Monday then will move across Victoria on Tuesday and will be centred over the Tasman Sea on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayLocal morning frost and areas of morning fog. Isolated showers mainly on and south of the ranges, scattered about the southwest and central coasts. Isolated thunderstorms possible over the southwest and central coasts. Local hail possible in the south. Snowfalls above 1000m. A cool to cold with moderate to fresh northwesterly winds, shifting west to southwest in the far southwest later.Monday 8 JulyIsolated showers mainly on and south of the ranges, scattered near the southwest and central coasts and clearing from the west. Snowfalls down to 1200m. Light to moderate west to southwesterly winds, easing from the west later.Tuesday 9 JulyWidespread morning frost and fog patches then a cool and mostly sunny day with light winds.Wednesday 10 JulyWidespread morning frost and fog patches then a cool and mostly sunny day with light to moderate northerly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Sunday.Product IDV10310
