Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 6/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A complex low pressure system passes southeast of Tasmania, generating fresh to strong winds in the far south and showers for the western slopes of the southern ranges with snow on the Alps. A high pressure system is expected to strengthen over central Australia extending a broad ridge to NSW coast with associated dry and sunny conditions dominating the remainder of the state. The high is expected to strengthen and move to the southeast directing a more southerly flow with showers extending to the coastal districts from Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers over the southern and southeastern Riverina and western slopes of the far southern ranges with snow showers above 1200 metres. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to northwest winds, gusty over the ranges in the south.Sunday 7 JulyIsolated showers over the southern and southeastern Riverina and western slopes of the far southern ranges with snow showers above 1200 metres. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to northwest winds, tending southwest to southeast in the far north and northeast.Monday 8 JulyIsolated showers on the western slopes of the far southern ranges with snow showers above 1100 metres. Isolated showers over the eastern parts of the Riverina. Isolated showers developing late over the coastal fringe between Jarvis Bay and Seal Rocks. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds.Tuesday 9 JulyIsolated showers east of the ranges, tending scattered over the coastal fringe north of Jarvis Bay. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds.Wednesday 10 JulyIsolated showers on and east of the ranges, tending scattered over the coastal fringe north of Jarvis Bay. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
