MELBOURNE - Jul 5/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A series of fronts will move over the south of the State until Monday, while a ridge of high pressure persists over the north. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area and West Coast district. Cool to cold with moderate to fresh westerly winds.Saturday 6 JulyIsolated showers over the agricultural area and west coast, increasing to scattered about the southern agricultural area apart from the Lower South East. Early morning frost patches on and east of the Flinders Ranges and in the far north. Cool to cold with mainly moderate to fresh west to northwesterly winds. Light and variable winds in the north.Sunday 7 JulyScattered showers south of about Streaky Bay to Nuriootpa to Mount Gambier. Isolated showers over the remainder of the southern agricultural area and west coast. Early frost on and east of the Flinders Ranges then a cool day with light to moderate northwesterly winds, turning southerly in the west. Light and variable winds in the north.Monday 8 JulyIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area, clearing by evening. Early morning fog patches. Early frost on and east of the Flinders Ranges then a cool day with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 9 JulyPatchy rain north of about Roxby Downs. Early frost over the southeast and on and east of the ranges, then a cool day with light to moderate northeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday afternoon to midnight Tuesday are expected to be less than 3 mm over the northern agricultural area and the far West Coast district, 2 to 5 mm over the southern agricultural area, and 5 to 15 mm with local falls of 15 to 30 mm about the Mount Lofty Ranges and near southern and western coasts. Up to 10 mm is expected north of about Roxby Downs.Wednesday until FridayIsolated showers about southern coasts clearing during Thursday.
