MELBOURNE - Jul 4/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system lies over the Tasman Sea. A complex low pressure system will move slowly across the Southern Ocean, well south of the Bight Thursday and Friday with a series of associated fronts passing across southern NSW. A ridge will extend across the state over the weekend. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated early showers on the far north coast. A little drizzle about the western slopes of the far southern ranges before isolated showers develop along the Victorian border west of the ranges this evening. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Early frost patches about the ranges and isolated early fog patches in the east. Northwest winds, becoming strong and gusty in the southeast, possibly reaching gale force.Friday 5 JulyIsolated showers over the south of the state, tending scattered over the southern ranges and slopes. Isolated showers over the Northwest Slopes and Plains and Northern Tablelands. Partly cloudy elsewhere. West to northwest winds, windy over the ranges and slopes.Saturday 6 JulyIsolated showers over the western half of the southern ranges. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to northwest winds.Sunday 7 JulyIsolated showers over the southern slopes and ranges. Isolated showers over the far north coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
