USDA National Grain Review

ST. JOSEPH - Jul 3/13 - SNS -- The USDA issued its latest weekly national grain market review, covering the period through Jul 3.

WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW
   Compared to last week, wheat and corn closed lower with soybeans closing
higher.  Corn saw losses with many elevators moving to the September contract
and with favorable weather patterns for corn has positive corn conditions with
67 percent of the crop rated good to excellent well above last years 48 percent.
Nearby corn contracts continue to be supported by tight current supplies.  Old
crop soybeans remain tight with strong bids from the processors.  Kansas wheat
harvest continues to move along at a brisk pace with favorable weather and
overall yields and quality coming in better than expected. Wheat was 3-12 cents
lower.  Yellow Corn was mostly 33-56 cents lower with grain sorghum trading 19-
70 cents lower.  Soybeans were 6-18 cents higher.
   WHEAT:  Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 4
1/2 to 7 1/2 cents lower from 7.69 1/2-8.34 1/2 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2
Soft Red winter rail bid was not quoted.  St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red
Winter terminal bid was 3 cents lower at 6.70 per bushel.  Minneapolis and
Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent protein rail, was 12
3/4 cents lower from 9.00 1/4-9.10 1/4 per bushel.  Portland US Soft White wheat
rail was 7.10-7.30 per bushel.
   CORN:  Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 50 to 53 cents lower from
6.71-6.77 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 56 to 58 cents
lower from 6.77-6.79 per bushel.  Omaha US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 34 to 46
cents lower from 6.70-6.77 per bushel.  Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 35 to 80
cents lower from 6.02 1/4-6.82 1/4 per bushel.  Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn
was 48 to 50 cents lower from 6.45 1/4-6.47 1/4 per bushel.  Minneapolis US No 2
Yellow corn rail was 33 cents lower at 6.53 1/4 per bushel.
   OATS AND BARLEY:  US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20
day was 16 1/2 to 21 1/2 cents lower from 3.89-3.94 per bushel.  US No 3 or
better rail malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was 15
cents lower at 6.85 per bushel.  Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-
export was not available.
   SORGHUM:  US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 70 cents lower at 11.39 per
cwt.  Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the
farmer, fob elevator) was 19 to 67 cents lower from 11.27-11.94 per cwt.
   OILSEEDS:  Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were 18 3/4 cents higher at
15.78 1/4 per bushel.  Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 8
3/4 to 15 3/4 cents higher from 16.06 1/4-16.16 1/4 per bushel.  Kansas City US
No 2 Yellow truck soybeans were 6 cents higher at 16.01 per bushel.  Central
Illinois 48 percent Soybean meal, processor rail bid was 11.00 to 16.00 higher
from 523.60-540.60 per ton.  Central Illinois Crude Soybean oil processor bid
was 72 to 82 points higher from 46.12-47.97 cents per pound.
