Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 1/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A deepening low pressure system off the southeast Queensland coast will move over the Tasman Sea into Tuesday. Otherwise a high pressure system north of the Bight extends a ridge across western and southeastern New South Wales, strengthen the ridge over the northeast of the state into Wednesday. A cold front is expected to cross the state during Thursday and Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayRain areas on the north coast and ranges tending widespread near the coast with possible locally moderate to heavy falls. Isolated showers in the far southeastern inland. The chance of thunderstorms on coastal fringe in the north. Partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southeast winds tending west to northwesterly in the southeast.Tuesday 2 JulyRain and showers in the north coast and ranges easing. The chance of showers over the southwestern ranges and slopes. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Areas of morning fog in the south and southwest. South to southeasterly winds, tending west to northwesterly in the southeast.Wednesday 3 JulyIsolated showers in the northeast clearing. The chance of light showers over the southern ranges and slopes. West to northwesterly winds, tending south to southeast in the northeast.Thursday 4 JulyIsolated showers over the southern ranges and slopes. Mostly sunny remainder. West to northwest winds.Friday 5 JulyIsolated showers over the south of the state, tending scattered over the southern ranges and slopes. Chance of isolated showers over the Northwest Slopes and western slopes of the Northern Tablelands. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
