Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 30/13 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system north of the Bight extends a ridge across western and southeastern New South Wales and a low pressure trough with a low within it lies off the north coast. The trough will move away from the coast during Tuesday and Wednesday as the high strengthen the ridge over the northeast of the state. A cold front is expected to cross the state during Thursday and Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayAreas of morning fog in the south and west. Rain areas on the north coast and ranges tending widespread near the coast with possible moderate to heavy falls. Isolated showers in the far southeastern inland. The chance of thunderstorms on coastal fringe in the north. Partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southeast winds, tending west to northwesterly in the southeast.Tuesday 2 JulyRain and showers in the north coast and ranges easing. The chance of showers over the southwestern ranges and slopes. Partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds, tending west to northwesterly in the southeast.Wednesday 3 JulyIsolated showers in the northeast clearing. The chance of light morning showers over the southern ranges and slopes. West to northwesterly winds, tending south to southeast in the northeast.Thursday 4 JulyIsolated showers over the southern ranges and slopes. Mostly sunny remainder.
